This asset acquisition will give Advance the right to sell DieHard batteries, the most trusted brand in the automotive battery category, and enables Advance to extend the DieHard brand into other automotive and vehicular categories. In addition, the deal allows Transformco to sell DieHard brand batteries through its existing channels pursuant to a supply agreement with Advance. Advance is also granting Transformco an exclusive royalty-free, perpetual license to develop, market, and sell DieHard branded products in non-automotive categories.

“We are excited to acquire global ownership of an iconic American brand. DieHard will help differentiate Advance, drive increased DIY customer traffic and build a unique value proposition for our Professional customers and Independent Carquest partners. DieHard has the highest brand awareness and regard of any automotive battery brand in North America and will enable Advance to build a leadership position within the critical battery category,” said Tom Greco, president and CEO, Advance Auto Parts. “DieHard stands for durability and reliability and we will strengthen and leverage the brand in other battery categories, such as marine and recreational vehicles. We also see opportunities to extend DieHard in other automotive categories. We remain committed to providing our customers with high-quality products and excellent service. The addition of DieHard to our industry leading assortment of national brands, OE parts and owned brands will enable us to differentiate Advance and drive significant long-term shareholder value.”

“DieHard is among the most successful and one of the most widely trusted brands in the auto industry, and we have long believed that the brand has even more potential,” said Peter Boutros, President of Transformco’s Kenmore, Craftsman and DieHard business unit. “DieHard revolutionized the automotive battery category when it launched in 1967, and has continued to be a leader in the category. Advance Auto Parts’ acquisition of this iconic American brand will complement our plans to introduce new DieHard products in non-automotive categories such as sporting goods, lawn and garden, authentic work wear and other exciting new categories.”

NTN, the parent company of BCA Bearings, has announced the launch of BCA’s 2025 Summer Trails promotion. During the promotion, BCA’s warehouse distributor customers can earn BCA-branded, premium merchandise with orders of BCA wheel hub assemblies, bearings, and seals.
“We are excited to introduce the BCA Summer Trails promotion,” said Patrick Cronin, marketing manager, automotive aftermarket. “The Summer Trails theme inspires the spirit of adventure and exploration that we all strive for when we venture off the beaten path on a summer excursion. We look forward to a wonderful season and another fantastic promotion.”
BCA’s Summer Trails promotion enables distributor customers to earn tiered packages of BCA-branded merchandise with qualifying orders, which they can then use to conduct their own localized promotions. This allows the BCA-branded merchandise to reach every level of the distribution channel, from the parts professionals and service advisors who recommend BCA products to the technicians who install them.
The Summer Trails theme embodies an outdoorsy sense of rustic, off-road discovery, bringing us into nature during the summer months. The promo items complement this theme perfectly: a baseball cap and rain poncho provide cover from sun and rain, while a bandana offers versatility for many needs. An extendable roaster is perfect for hot dogs and marshmallows around the campfire, and a stainless mug helps keep you hydrated on the trail. A survival knife comes in handy when you need a sharp edge, and a beach towel and dry bag keep you and your gear dry. A camp chair and hammock help you relax in camp or your backyard, and a waterproof Bluetooth speaker provides the soundtrack to summer. Hit the Summer Trails with BCA!
BCA’s 2025 Summer Trails promotion runs from April 1 through June 15, 2025. For participation details, please contact a BCA Sales Representative or Customer Relations Advocate.

Advance Auto Parts announced it has completed the store closure phase of its transformation plan and is entering its next phase of returning to growth. The company said optimization of the retail footprint was key to Advance’s broader transformation plan to reposition the company for long-term success. Now, more than 75% of the company’s stores are in markets where the company has the No. 1 or No. 2 position based on store density, strengthening its presence in strategic communities.
With that phase complete, Advance said it now expects to open 30 new locations in the United States in 2025 and at least an additional 100 new locations through 2027, including larger “market hubs.”
Since the beginning of this year,

Over the next several months, the company said it expects to open additional stores to serve customers across communities in Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia and Wisconsin.  Advance added it is also continuing the expansion of market hubs with new openings soon in the Midwest. These larger stores will increase availability of parts by placing approximately 75,000 to 85,000 SKUs closer to customers and other local Advance stores, as well as improve Advance’s speed of service with same-day delivery of parts. By comparison, typical Advance stores carry between 20,000 to 25,000 SKUs.
“Advance Auto Parts is on the path to accelerate store growth and focused on the fundamentals of selling auto parts,” said
link hidden, please login to view. “We are excited about what’s to come for Advance. Our team members are committed to providing the right parts and the right service for our PRO and DIY customers in their communities.”  In addition to new store openings, Advance said it is creating a better customer experience. The company’s previously announced incremental capital expenditure plan includes additional investments in existing stores related to IT infrastructure, equipment, store repairs, and improved inventory and delivery. The company said it is also providing additional training to team members to enhance customer experience.
