This spring promotion, which began in March 2024, awarded professional technicians and shop owners across the country with the chance to win an exclusive NASCAR racing experience. Forty guests kicked off their weekend with an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at a performance racing team. The tour offered an insider’s glimpse into the high-octane world of professional racing. The evening continued with an exclusive dinner at the NASCAR Hall of Fame, where winners dined among the legends and history of the sport and participated in a collection of interactive racing simulations.

Everything was fantastic; the Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper staff were so hospitable and made it the trip of a lifetime. Everywhere we visited was great, but the race itself was something else—an amazing experience from top to bottom. I know we all appreciated the team from Valvoline being with us and hosting us on race day; such a great group of people.”
In addition to the grand prize, 150 other winners received cash prizes, contributing to a total of $25,000 in additional cash prizes, which added even more excitement to the sweepstakes. Entries were earned with every qualifying $150 invoice from Auto Value or Bumper to Bumper parts suppliers, with bonus entries awarded to MyPlace4Parts users for purchases made through the platform.

All affiliated Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper candidates completed a comprehensive application that included essay prompts, short answers, letters of recommendation, transcripts, and more. An industry panel of judges reviewed and ranked the applicants based on their merits following established guidelines along with oversight and administration from the University of the Aftermarket Foundation. Candidates were also required to verify they were employees or children of employees at an Auto Value, Bumper to Bumper, or Confidence Plus location.
Since the Alliance scholarship program was developed in 2001, it has awarded almost $600,000 in scholarships to deserving students. The annual program encourages continuing education within the membership and supports the next workforce generation in achieving their educational goals.

Breneman is the owner of Avery’s Auto Repair, a Bumper to Bumper Certified Service Center and customer of NPW Companies. Breneman was named the winner during Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper’s Technician of the Year program in Detroit, Michigan, this July. “This recognition is humbling. I deeply appreciate the experience and I am proud to be the 2024 Technician of the Year Champion. The support from Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper has been incredible. I want to thank NPW and our sales rep, Hoss Prestwich, for encouraging me to compete,” said Breneman.
Sixteen top technicians from across the United States and Canada traveled to Detroit to participate in the 2024 Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper Technician of the Year finalist competition. Sponsored by DRiV and Garage Gurus, the annual competition included a custom Automotive Service Excellence examination as well as a series of Garage Gurus’ hands-on skills tests.
“With over 3,700 Certified Service Centers within the Auto Value & Bumper to Bumper network, becoming a technician of the year finalist is no easy task,” said JC Washbish, president at the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, Inc. “The goal of this program is to recognize top technician talent within the industry, bring honor to the trades, and highlight the skills required to be a top tech. The technician finalists were treated to a variety of entertainment and experiences in Metro Detroit including a day at the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village, a tour of the Ford Rouge Factory, racing at the Champion® Motor Speedway in the M1 Concourse and the luxury of a suite at Comerica Park for a Detroit Tigers’ game.
