Penzoil recently introduced the “Long May We Drive” campaign, celebrating the thrill of driving and carving your own path on the open road.

“Every person has a unique story to tell when it comes to driving, and every vehicle can tell a thousand tales,” Penzoil explained in a news release. “No matter where and what someone drives, or whether cars are used for hugging curves in the road, commuting to work or packing up kids and heading for the mountains, Pennzoil wants to celebrate the pursuit of the next mile with this campaign.”

Featuring real drivers with a passion for car culture, “Long May We Drive” focuses on the stories of those who are passionate about taking care of their engine, those who relish the open road or those racing into the record books track by track. One of those real drivers, who not only owns the road but also moves the industry forward, is

“Pennzoil is proud to champion his mission of equalizing mobility in motorsports, supporting the Just Hands Racing team’s development of more cars modified with hand controls to hit the racetracks nationwide so people with disabilities can experience the thrill of racing,” the company said.

Cars provide an irreplicable source of freedom and self-expression, and the love of the drive is a common thread that connects us all.

“Wherever your car is going to take you, Pennzoil will be there,” the company said in a news release. “The ‘Long May We Drive’ campaign serves as a reminder that each person’s path of driving is unique, and Pennzoil invites you to join in this exciting ride!”

Valvoline announced the launch of its new passenger car motor oil formulas for both the U.S. and Canada. The company said these formulas surpass the updated International Lubricant Standardization and Approval Committee (ILSAC) GF-7 standards, which formally went into effect on March 31.
Valvoline added that its current ILSAC GF-6 certified synthetic

The company said its engine lab in Ashland, Ky. allows Valvoline to perform critical engine sequence tests that help define industrywide performance requirements every five to seven years. “These days, everything seems to move just a little bit faster, and our engines have to work even harder to keep up with the pace of our busy lives,” said Dr. Michael Warholic, senior global technology director at Valvoline Global Operations. “By helping car owners maintain their vehicles’ performance and longevity, Valvoline’s dedication to the development of the ILSAC GF-7 standards is protecting engines not just for today, but for the needs of tomorrow as well, delivering improved performance levels in almost every area.”

link hidden, please login to view said its ILSAC GF-7 full synthetic technology was tested in a single engine for over 500,000 miles across three years without the need to replace any critical component, while significantly reducing sludge and deposits compared to an ILSAC GF-6 quality oil. The ILSAC GF-7 specification continues the A and B designations started with the ILSAC GF-6 upgrade in 2020. The ILSAC GF-7A designation applies to all SAE 0W-20 viscosity grades and heavier. ILSAC GF-7A is backward compatible with all previous GF-6A, GF-5 and older ILSAC specifications. The ILSAC GF-7B designation applies to SAE 0W-16 viscosity grade oils and is backward compatible to ILSAC GF-6B only.
As ILSAC GF-6 designated motor oils are phased out of distribution channels after the March 31, 2025, GF-7 launch, Valvoline said its new motor oils meeting the ILSAC GF-7A standard will include the “Starburst” API mark on all bottles, while ILSAC GF-7B-compliant oils will have the API “Shield.” Oils meeting API SP will feature an updated API “Donut” with SP designation.
“Advances in engine oil performance wouldn’t be possible without the dedication, expertise and leadership of our Valvoline engineers and scientists, who work tirelessly to help define and shape the industry standards, continually raising the bar to benefit us all,” said Warholic.

Advance Auto Parts announced it has completed the store closure phase of its transformation plan and is entering its next phase of returning to growth. The company said optimization of the retail footprint was key to Advance’s broader transformation plan to reposition the company for long-term success. Now, more than 75% of the company’s stores are in markets where the company has the No. 1 or No. 2 position based on store density, strengthening its presence in strategic communities.
With that phase complete, Advance said it now expects to open 30 new locations in the United States in 2025 and at least an additional 100 new locations through 2027, including larger “market hubs.”
Since the beginning of this year,
link hidden, please login to view has opened six new stores in Florida, New Jersey, Tennessee and Virginia. Over the next several months, the company said it expects to open additional stores to serve customers across communities in Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia and Wisconsin.  Advance added it is also continuing the expansion of market hubs with new openings soon in the Midwest. These larger stores will increase availability of parts by placing approximately 75,000 to 85,000 SKUs closer to customers and other local Advance stores, as well as improve Advance’s speed of service with same-day delivery of parts. By comparison, typical Advance stores carry between 20,000 to 25,000 SKUs.
“Advance Auto Parts is on the path to accelerate store growth and focused on the fundamentals of selling auto parts,” said
link hidden, please login to view. “We are excited about what’s to come for Advance. Our team members are committed to providing the right parts and the right service for our PRO and DIY customers in their communities.”  In addition to new store openings, Advance said it is creating a better customer experience. The company’s previously announced incremental capital expenditure plan includes additional investments in existing stores related to IT infrastructure, equipment, store repairs, and improved inventory and delivery. The company said it is also providing additional training to team members to enhance customer experience.
