(APH), in collaboration with its supplier partners and the Bartlett family, announced the success of its annual fundraiser dedicated to supporting adults with disabilities. All donations were matched by both APH and the Bartlett family. The collaborative effort resulted in a 2024 contribution of $454,000, bringing the 12-year total to $2.7 million, according to APH. The funds raised will directly benefit WACOSA and its day programs, which provide meaningful work opportunities for over 650 adults with disabilities in central Minnesota.

A highlight of this year’s event was the participation of WACOSA’s resident artist, Dan Mondloch, who led a hands-on art experience. Participants from APH and its suppliers worked together to create collage pieces that Mondloch will incorporate into a final artwork commemorating the day and honoring all contributors.

“Dan Mondloch’s time and talent were invaluable to this year’s fundraiser,” said Kevin Mack, VP of merchandising at APH. “We are deeply grateful for his contributions. It was truly inspiring to see our suppliers and APH staff come together to create beautiful pieces of artwork. This collaborative spirit enriches our event and reinforces our shared commitment to supporting adults with disabilities in our community.”

Following the art experience, John and Nancy Bartlett hosted a cocktail reception and lobster-themed dinner at their home to express their appreciation for this year’s support. During the celebration, a check was presented to Nancy Betts, the executive director of WACOSA.

“The profound impact of this annual contribution, spearheaded by the Bartlett family and APH, transforms countless lives in central Minnesota,” said Betts. “Despite the barriers these adults face, the financial support extended to WACOSA ensures that each individual receives the customized assistance necessary to reach their full potential.”

“We are deeply thankful for the kindness of our supporters,” said Corey Bartlett, CEO of APH. “Each dollar raised plays a crucial role in furthering WACOSA’s mission to empower individuals with disabilities to succeed and thrive in their communities. We are incredibly proud and grateful for the ongoing support from our supplier partners.”

The annual fundraiser is organized by a team, including Jay Knopick and Brad Johnson from N.A. Williams, Mark Hoffman from East Penn Manufacturing, John Oster from Tall Sales, and Pat Ryan and Kyle Shroyer from NorthPro Representatives.

During HDA Truck Pride’s recent Annual Meeting, attendees raised $35,000 for Kids Matter International.
link hidden, please login to view Kicking off its 2024 Annual Meeting, HDA Truck Pride hosted a Cornhole Tournament & Welcome Dinner, where teams competed in a friendly yet spirited competition, with all proceeds being donated to Kids Matter International. Throughout the week there were additional opportunities for attendees to contribute to the charity partner and make an impact.
“We are honored to partner with Kids Matter International and incredibly proud of our network for their passionate efforts in being able to raise $35,000 for kids in need. The Kids Matter commitment to the Grapevine community deeply resonates with the values we hold within our HDA Truck Pride network. We’re all about communities coming together to help each other and protect future generations. What better way to do that than through some friendly competition?” said HDA Truck Pride President & CEO, Tina Hubbard.
Founded in 2006, Kids Matter International has been instrumental in providing essential resources and educational opportunities to children in need in the Grapevine, Texas, area. From providing new clothing, shoes, books, and backpacks, to offering educational programs, Kids Matter International empowers children and instills hope for a brighter future, HDA Truck Pride explained.
For a child who lives in poverty, wearing tattered, worn-out clothes and shoes can negatively impact their self-esteem and confidence. It can also negatively impact their ability to learn when not appropriately dressed for weather conditions. With a donation of $100, Kids Matter International provides up to $350 worth of new clothes and shoes to a child in need, the organization said.
“This donation will enable us to provide clothing to an additional 350 kids in 2024, resulting in a total value of $122,500 in new merchandise,” expressed Marti Conner, president & CEO of Kids Matter International. “On behalf of the children we serve, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to HDA Truck Pride and the attendees for making a significant difference in the lives of these children.”

link hidden, please login to view. (APH) recently celebrated the end of its 100th-Anniversary Sweepstakes promotion by announcing the winner of a new Polaris Ranger 1000.  Chase Harlow of Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Grand Forks, North Dakota, won the Polaris Ranger. His name was randomly drawn from more than 25,000 entries.
“Chase and the Lithia team are great supporters of Auto Value,” said Mark Larson, Auto Value Grand Forks store manager. “When I found out Chase won the Polaris Ranger, I couldn’t wait to tell him the exciting news.”
Originally planned to coincide with APH’s 100th anniversary in 2020, the 100th-Anniversary Sweepstakes promotion was postponed until last year due to the pandemic. The sweepstakes was open to all professional technicians, and entries were earned for every $100 invoice during the months of November and December.
Additional entries also were available during APH’s summer tour, when its 1952 International Metro ice cream truck made an appearance at nearly 1,000 shops.
“The 100th-Anniversary Sweepstakes promotion and summer tour were huge hits and great ways to thank our loyal customers for playing import roles in APH reaching this incredible milestone,” added Tim Feddema, marketing manager at APH. “We look forward to another exciting year ahead and visiting as many markets as we can with the ’52 Metro. The smiles per gallon we receive while on tour are simply amazing.”
