I have 09 Tacoma.  Their OEM pads are great for stopping power, but they leave a dark residue on the wheel cover.  Any of you gentlemen have any suggs?

I typically get 4o,000 plus out of a set of OEM pads.  Like I said, they stop good, and they're easy on the rotors.

Thanks in advance.

For aftermarket I would go with Raybestos or Wagner. If you have an Advance store, try a set of CARQUEST Platinum. Make sure your rear brakes are good, may be overworking your fronts or those OE pads are just extremely dusty.

Hello friend, the dark residue you're seeing is likely brake dust. Brake dust is produced as the brake pads wear down. High-performance or metallic brake pads often generate more brake dust due to their material composition.

Regular cleaning of your wheels is generally enough to maintain them. However, if brake dust is a significant issue for you, you might want to consider using ceramic brake pads. Ceramic brake pads produce lighter-colored dust that is less visible, and they generally create less dust compared to metallic or semi-metallic brake pads.

Hope my answer will help you!
