OEM vs. Aftermarket Parts for Your Car: How to Choose
Athrelle replied to APF's topic in General Auto Parts Discussion
Choosing between OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and aftermarket parts really depends on your priorities. If you value quality and a perfect fit, OEM parts are usually the safer choice. They’re made specifically for your car, so there’s less guesswork involved. For example, I’ve used Chevy Parts Pros to find OEM parts for my Trailblazer, and it’s been hassle-free every time. On the other hand, aftermarket parts can be more affordable and sometimes offer performance upgrades that OEM parts don’t. Just be cautious with compatibility and quality, as not all aftermarket options are created equal. For me, it comes down to how critical the part is—OEM for reliability and fit, aftermarket for customization or savings. Me personally I still go with OEM coz it's saves me money in terms of quality of the part instead of worrying the part breaking down in any given time. -

The Best Front And Rear Brake Pads For Cars, Trucks & Suvs
Athrelle replied to garryhe's topic in Automotive Brake Parts
I would say one of the best Brake Pad Kit that I have been using for my car ever since was from Chevy Parts Pros. The Chevrolet Performance Silverado 1500 front brake system features six-piston, fixed aluminum calipers by Brembo and larger-than-stock Duralife rotors. This brake upgrade for (2014-2019) Silverado models provides improved thermal capacity by boasting an 84% increase in brake pad area compared to the factory equipment, and a 42% increase in rotor area. The Duralife hardened rotor surface helps reduce corrosion and provides quieter braking with less vibration. During testing, the Performance Brake package provided a 31% reduction in pedal force at max deceleration, and 12% reduction in pedal travel, for an improved pedal feel.- 1 reply
